Cumberland County

About Cumberland County

Cumberland County is home to advanced manufacturing in several sectors, including glass, food and beverage, and industrial products. Companies such as Oatley and Innovation Foods, Danone, Northeast Precast, and ARC International have adopted innovative processes and created products that are sold well beyond the northeast corridor.

Within the food sector, numerous international headquarters are now located in Cumberland County. The Rutgers Food Innovation Center, the only “soft landings” incubator dedicated to food in the United States, is located in Bridgeton adjacent to the Food Specialization Center, which provides flex space and technical assistance to food start-ups.

Rowan College of South Jersey Cumberland Campus houses the Mechatronic Innovation Learning Lab (MILL), providing a training center for robotics and advanced manufacturing. The campus anchors an innovation zone that includes neighboring Inspira Health Network and the Cumberland Technical Education Center. CCTEC, a state-of-the-art technical high school, provides hands-on instruction and experience to the next-generation workforce for in-demand jobs and upskilling opportunities for the current workforce.

With 6,000 of runways, instrument landing systems, and 24 operations with a fixed-based operator, the Millville Executive Airport can accommodate large corporate aircraft. Jet East provides full aviation services for one-stop jet servicing. Land and buildings are available on site for lease, with an adjacent industrial park offering build-to-suit opportunities.
