Glass company Gerresheimer debuts innovation center in Vineland

Gerresheimer AG, a German glass company, has opened its Gx Glass Innovation and Technology Center in Vineland, as part of its U.S. operations, it announced Monday.

Gerresheimer, which makes pharmaceutical glass, primary packaging glass products, technologies and digitized processes, said in a news release that it expects engineers at the new center eventually will develop further innovative pharma industry solutions.

“We are leading in health and well-being delivery. We are developing first-class glass solutions to meet highest quality requirements,” CEO Dietmar Siemssen said at the opening event. “In our new innovation center, we will bundle our glass expertise and all our experts to develop new products and technologies, together with our customers in one place.”

The innovation center is the first of its kind for Gerresheimer Primary Packaging Glass, the company noted, and sits next door to the company’s tubular glass converting plant in Vineland.
