(Princeton, NJ) – Choose New Jersey, Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer Michele Brown announced today that Michael Chrobak, the organization’s Chief Economic Development Officer, will be departing New Jersey to join the team at TexasOne as Executive Vice President.

“Michael has been a tremendous resource for Choose New Jersey and the State of New Jersey over the last four years, and he will be truly missed,” said Brown. “During his tenure, he established a track record of domestic and international business development opportunities, and we wish him nothing but the best in the Lone Star State, although the Garden State is losing a key economic development professional.”

As Chief Economic Development Officer, Chrobak undertook research-based business lead generation and strategic partnership activities, including business attraction and expansion of jobs, investment and industry development for the state.

While at Choose New Jersey, he organized and conducted business missions with executives across the United States in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Utah and around the world in Canada, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and United Kingdom.

Chrobak is a Founding Member of the Northern New Jersey REAL Professionals Network of commercial real estate executives, a Board Trustee of NAIOP New Jersey,  and is recognized as one of the Top 50 Economic Developers in North America by Consultant Connect.
