Peloton Interactive, a national fitness equipment company, has signed a lease for more than 156,000 square feet of industrial space in Carteret, according to real estate firm CBRE.

The company, which makes workout bikes for indoor cycling and other fitness gear, moved into the 156,068-square-foot space at 1500 Blair Road in October, CBRE said.

The team of Scott Belfer and Lou Belfer negotiated the long-term lease on behalf of the tenant. CBRE’s team of Thomas Monahan, Stephen D’Amato, Larry Schiffenhaus, Anastasia Lazarides, Lauren Griffith and Gerard Monahan represented the landlord, AEW.

“Peloton Interactive needed a state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution facility with convenient access to the New Jersey Turnpike that was also in close proximity to New York City and near a robust labor pool,” Scott Belfer, a senior vice president, said in a prepared statement. “1500 Blair Road fit our client’s requirements perfectly, and its location was a key factor in its decision to commit to a long-term lease for the entire complex.”
