First Lady Tammy Murphy attends an I Wish lunch meeting to learn more about I Wish’s efforts in educating girls in STEM

First Lady Tammy Murphy participated in a lunch with the leadership of I WISH and members of the Cork City Council Women’s Caucus today at The Republic of Work in Cork to learn more about STEM education for Irish girls. I WISH is a volunteer-led community organization committed to showcasing the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to female secondary school students. It provides a showcase event run over four days in Ireland, where to date, the organization has hosted 22,000 girls from 26 counties across Ireland. Co-Founder of I Wish Caroline O’Driscoll welcomed the First Lady with remarks, followed by the First Lady speaking about STEM efforts in New Jersey. Councillor Mary Rose Desmond concluded the speaking portion of the event.
