Governor Murphy and Applegreen Executives Announce New US HQ, $126M INVESTMENT

Governor Murphy, in conjunction with Applegreen, one of the largest on-highway service plaza operators in the U.S. and Europe, announced a $126 million investment in New Jersey over the coming years. At a press conference, Bob Etchingham, CEO of Applegreen, stated that the company will relocate its Travel Plaza Headquarters to Glen Rock, NJ, to add at least 100 new jobs to the region. Applegreen will also redevelop all of the state’s 21 on-highway service plazas in a move that will create 800 new jobs. Choose New Jersey representatives initially met with Applegreen executives during the 2019 Ireland Mission and worked with company officials to locate their headquarters in New Jersey.
