Biotech firm Genmab said July 10 it officially moved into its new U.S. headquarters office and research and development laboratories in Princeton University’s Forrestal Center in Plainsboro.

The international company, which specializes in the creation and development of differentiated antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, has its roots in Denmark, but its new location is an expansion of its office and research activities in the United States and will offer 90,070 square feet across two floors.

Located at 777 Scudders Mill Road, the 125-acre campus, once home to Bristol-Myers Squibb, has been renovated into a modern workspace including, state-of-the-art offices and translational research laboratories to attract the area’s top talent.

“Our location in New Jersey’s ever-dynamic and innovative life-sciences ecosystem allows us to leverage the local high-skilled labor market where we can continue our growth trajectory in a setting that supports our ambitions to nurture Genmab’s corporate culture in a new and vibrant workplace environment that aligns with our company vision,” said Chris Cozic, Genmab’s corporate vice president, Global Human Resources, in a prepared statement.

Over the last two years, Genmab has expanded its employee base in New Jersey from 36 employees in July 2018, to more than 165 employees today—and is looking to further hire.

In March 2020 it was named as one of NJBIZ’s Best Places to Work for medium-sized companies.

Founded in 1999, Genmab also has sites in Utrecht, the Netherlands and Tokyo.
