Referring to it as a significant donation, the owners of the Philadelphia 76ers, Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils announced they and the Sixers have provided aid to Cooper University Health Care‘s COVID-19 Assistance Fund.

Harris and Blitzer, who are co-managing partners of the Sixers, said the funds will help purchase critical equipment and supplies, including personal protective equipment like N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves, gowns, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, eye protection, ventilators, and more.

“On behalf of the nearly 8,000 members of the Cooper team I want to thank Josh Harris, David Blitzer and the Philadelphia 76ers for their both the incredibly generous donation and for serving as a tremendous partner in serving our community” Kevin O’Dowd, CEO and co-president of Cooper, said.

The fund was created in response to numerous community requests to help the South Jersey health system.

“Cooper’s clinical and support staff are among the most skilled, compassionate, and dedicated healthcare professionals and this contribution will directly provide needed resources to help those on the front line providing care,” Anthony J. Mazzarelli, CEO and co-president of Cooper, said.
